Five Verses to Anchor Your Soul

12:51 PM

Prayer brings us together into the presence of the Almighty. He knows our needs before we ask.  Faithful to hear and answer.  He is not far, rather very near.  He is close to the broken hearted.  Comforting all who cry to Him.  His voice is tender, His hand is gentle, and His heart is kind.  Holy in all of His ways.  His understanding has no limits.  He heals your pain.
Draw near to Him lean in close and hear His heart.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove form you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.  (Ezekiel 36:26)

This verse is especially close to my heart, because there was a time in my life where my heart was hard as a rock.  I desperately needed Him to give me a heart of flesh.   I needed a heart that could heal, feel, and beat again with the life He desired to give me.

May the God of HOPE fill you with all JOY and PEACE as you TRUST in Him, so that you may OVERFLOW with HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit.
(Romans 15:13)

He is the God of Hope, and He will fill you with Joy and peace, but we must learn to trust HIM. This verse is a reminder to me that it is by the POWER of the Holy Spirit I can be filled with joy and peace.  I play an important role of responsibility in this promise. I have to TRUST.

“But now this is what the Lord says- he who created you. Jacob, he who formed you Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.’”
(Isaiah 43:1)

He created you, formed you, redeemed you, summoned you, he knows your name, and you are HIS. If ever you have ever felt alone rejected, or a mistake this one will anchor you in security that comes from His voice, YOU ARE MINE.

“Forget the former things, do not DWELL on the past, see I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
(Isaiah 43:18-19)

The past is not your future, and the past will never bring you vision for your life.  He is doing a new thing; you are a new creation in Christ.  His vision for your life is a plan of full of goodness and provision.  We miss the new things He has for us when we focus on the past. (TWEET THISLift up your eyes from where your help comes from and see He is creating new opportunities, and adventures for you to take part in.

“Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young- a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.”(Psalm 84:3-4)

You have a place in His house.  Welcome home.  He has not cast you out, He cares for you, and He makes room for you.  You are His beloved and He wants to dine with you.  He wants to hear your voice and fellowship with you.  You are accepted, You are wanted.

    1. Thank you Lisa, this may sound weird but I get teary eyed anytime someone takes time out of their busy lives to read, and then that it actually encourages their weary souls is my greatest heart's desire. Praying you are in encouraged in your place in His Kingdom and find richness and fulfillment in His purposes for your life.
